So. Anniversaries.
October 24th, exactly one year ago today, this website went live. While I have had this silly superhero story series for a while before that, this was my first step of truly sharing it with the public. It's true what they say, a lot can happen in a year's time, and ever since then this project has changed in a lot of ways, a lot of which were for the better if you ask me.
...Not too shabby for someone who's mostly been winging it.
Yeah, I know usually these kinds of posts are supposed to go into how there's "big things in the works" or what your plans for the grand scheme are, but I'd rather not do that here. I do have plans for where I want to take this series in the future, but I'm not really anywhere near that point yet, and plus I don't want to make any big promises that I'm not sure I can keep. This was just to reflect on how far I've come since I first shared a concept of this to my DeviantArt, with the key art for it being...
...Yeesh. Like I said, it's come a long way since then.
With all that said though, I did have a couple of updates regarding some things:
There is a Halloween "bonus" story that's scheduled to go out on that holiday.
After the aforementioned Halloween sory, there will most likely be another hiatus as I try to figure out the next story and do more art for my original series (don't know how long it's last, just until whenever inspiration strikes).
Magman will be the next Origins story that I work on (eventually).
I'm currently working on a movie adaptation where the Mastermind goes to the real world and has to go on a wacky adventure with Ryan Reynolds, just gotta wait for him to return my calls.
On the topic of the main stories, however, that's admittedly where I've been hitting a snag. Not that I don't have ideas, and have even started two other stories a while back, but I am probably gonna be going on another hiatus after the bonus story comes out, both to work on other things, do more art pieces that I've been meaning to get to, and evaluate what stories I want to do next. So, yeah, apologies for that, but I don't just want to churn something out when I don't have much inspiration for it. We'll see how long it takes before that hits.
Speaking of those "other things", I am also working on another story series, and if you're in any Discord servers with me there's a chance you already know what it is. That one will probably be exclusive to Wattpad (since I don't want to make a whole new website or repurpose this one to carry two at once). PiC will still be my "main" series, but if you want to keep up with that, you can follow me there.
And, yeah, that's really all I got. Didn't plan anything extravagant, I know. Just wanted to give a quick update on things, and look back on what I've done with this little project in a year. Hopefully there'll be bigger things in the future.
Once again, thanks to everyone who's checked out this series, kept up with it, or generally been supportive of it. I hope I can continue to make it grow and keep people smiling with many more misadventures of the Mastermind and co.
